Student Volunteering

Student Volunteering

Volunteering gives you an opportunity to change lives, including your own.  Every year, thousands of youth help their community through volunteer service. Students clean creeks, serve the hungry, tutor children, and contribute in so many other ways. There are 200+ volunteer opportunities available to youth ages 13-17 in the East Bay.

The Volunteer Center of the East Bay also hosts 4 Youth Action Days during 2014-15 academic calendar year. The dates are:

Make A Difference Day/Youth Action Day 10/25/14, focusing on health and seniors.

Family Volunteer / Youth Action Day 11/22/14, focusing on hunger prevention & shelters.

Martin Luther King, Jr. /Youth Action Day 1/19/15, focusing on education & literacy

Global Youth Service/Youth Action Day 4/19/15: Environment (close to Earth Day)
